Every once in a while so many different topics come up, it's difficult to get to every one in the depth they deserve.

With that in mind, I'm going to touch on several subjects that we at GHC are working on, aware of, and continuing to develop.

First, I'd like to make a correction in the article I did on "Remembrance And What If," regarding the 199th birthday of President Jefferson Davis.

My error will not change the thrust of the commentary, but it needs to be corrected lest someone quotes my inept research on one point.

I was also partly right and partly wrong in listing some of the Northern and Western states Lincoln lost. [ See Electoral Results By State & Totals by State. ] My sincere apologies. My faculties don't seem to be quite as effective as they once were.

The one thing we know of the GHC website is that some of the best historians and statisticians in America are watching us regularly, and we have to be on our toes. I appreciate their reminders and corrections when we stray.

For those of you who are loyal followers of the contributions of the GHC website authors, here is some accurate news.

Jim Dean's work on the dimly publicized legislation to fund La Raza by the U. S. taxpayers is getting national attention. His timing couldn't be more harmful to those pushing some notion they refuse to call amnesty, which includes both Georgia Senators. Jim has also followed closely the reaction of conservatives and party members to the betrayal on immigration "reform."

This leads to what I believe will be a serious effort to develop Republican primary opposition to Saxby Chambliss.

We were also glad to see the work of our veteran GHC Steering Committee member, former long term Democratic legislator, Randy Phillips, on the same subject, any word other than amnesty.

The power of the GHC website is being felt far beyond Georgia. A national conservative radio talk show is discussing utilizing GHC commentators to differentiate between so-called 'new conservatives' and the philosophy of America's Founders, and where it has led us. This follows recognition of the emphasis GHC places on publishing real Constitutional ideology which has become almost extinct in many forms of media.

As a little insight, they are encouraging us to expose the so-called conservatives such of Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity and others who have an agenda centered around the promotion of the Lincoln ideology of big central government, support of big business and big military joined with planned abandonment of the Bill of Rights including parts of the First, Second, Fourth, Fifth and Tenth Amendments to the Constitution.

We at GHC are following some developments that we will be reporting on. One includes a potentially huge alleged scandal in the highest levels of Georgia government. We are going after it in the same fashion we did with Ralph Reed and the Abramoff scandals.

The research and reporting on this expose will be headed by our Webmaster, Steve Scroggins, who is joined by the GHC corps of columnists.

Another includes the news blackout that has been voluntarily agreed upon by all the news media regarding the horrific rape, murders and mutilation of a couple in Knoxville, Tennessee.

Because of the blackout it has been difficult to get the facts on the progress in the case. We have now ascertained both the local and state police have fairly well completed their investigations and have indictments against four black people amounting to as many as 46 counts. The federal government has entered the case but has deferred developments until the state has taken action.

After much delay, we have learned that a Judge in Knoxville has set trial dates in July and August for the four indicted.

Since you probably won't get much news on this case elsewhere, we at GHC will try to keep you informed of the developments as they occur.

We will keep you advised as news of any of the above items and subjects becomes available.
