A Fine Mess
Commentary by J. A. Davis, 12/11/2009
A few still remember some of the choice lines from Laurel and Hardy. One was "A fine mess you've gotten us into this time."
There are so many fine messes going on we can't devote full columns to them all. Let me just give you a few in some sort of quick
synopsis.
NOTE THE DEBT on the home page. Have you noticed it has passed TWELVE TRILLION ? If you click in the details you'll see your
own share. Don't worry though. Our trusted members of Congress have just upped the national debt limits. Per usual, their
foresight seems to be suffering an astigmatism. What they intended to carry us through the full year appears to fall about
five or six months short after some of this runaway spending is calculated. Don't worry though, when we go broke along about
July they'll just up it again.
See the current X-Files on
Georgia's continuing battle with Louisiana which just sold a U. S. Senate vote on Healthcare for 300 million bucks. It looks
like Louisiana has retaken the lead in the corruption war
but Georgia is not to be outdone. Note the resurgence of the Oaky Woods boys
in the X-Files.

It is a fine mess when the lies are so obvious even our young people are losing faith in public servants. This could be a good
sign since so many of them until recently didn't seem to care.
Speaking of corruption, our Jim Dean is about a half inch off the tails of some of the worst corruption taking place in America (and world-wide),
Climategate. Yep, Jim, it is the symptom. Frank Gillespie has also done some nice work on this subject.

The worst corruption is still being hidden by the so called mainstream media. It has been so well hidden you may not know about the
latest scandal that may have serious implications on Wall Street and one of the bail-out banks, Citi-Bank. It has now been
revealed that Citi had a deal with ACORN whereby their highly confidential delinquent mortgage files were turned over to ACORN to
contact, and reportedly arrange with the borrower, for a fee, to help them with some sort of remediation.
With all the heat on ACORN by various state Attorney Generals, apparently ACORN in California decided to
dump the confidential
evidence, including complete personal ID information in a dumpster near their offices. What was recoverable has been been
retrieved and is reportedly being sorted out for possible further actions against both Citi Bank and ACORN. There is talk of
a class action law suit by those affected against Citi which some believe is barely hanging on by the tips of its fingernails. [Do a
Google search for ACORN+Citibank.]
Lest anyone have has) unrealized expectations we remind you that ACORN seems to have some sort of divine protection as the heavy
taxpayer contributions previously awarded them which were rescinded by Congress after several video taped interviews reputedly
involved them in a number of incidents anyone else would likely be regarded as serious crimes. The funding stops have now run out
of the time limit imposed and are reportedly restored by the administration in Washington. Brazen contempt for taxpayers?

Barack Obama, ACORN Nut-In-Chief
You might call that a fine mess.
It has also been reported that ACORN has developed subsidiary organizations under different names and has actually increased their
voter contact capabilities. (Community Organizers) This is no small potatoes. It has been recently reported they have
registered many hundreds of thousands new "voters" throughout the country. An idea of the importance of this is just one
example, in San Diego, around 75,000 new voters are reported as validated. The proximity to the Mexican border was not mentioned
in the news.
A fine mess we've gotten ourselves into this time.
There's so many other strange things happening we just don't have room for them now. We'll try to keep you informed as we head
deeper into that great utopia that never was and never will be.
"If a nation expects to be ignorant and free,...it expects what never was and never will be." --Thomas Jefferson
"A popular government without popular information or the means of acquiring it is but a prologue to a farce or a tragedy, or
perhaps both. Knowledge will forever govern ignorance: And a people who mean to be their own Governors, must arm themselves
with the power which knowledge gives." --James Madison
