Holiday Musings, by J. A. Davis
It's always interesting to me to observe the various musings of
thinkers of various stripes around holiday time.
In the ever growing cultural battle taking place in America there are blessings to be
grateful about and warnings to be addressed by all who strongly believe
in maintaining some semblance of our Constitutional Republic.
Let's be positive and show our gratitude for:
The consistency of Georgia voters who emphatically demonstrate that
four million dollars spent on a campaign for a liberal candidate for the Court of
Appeals cannot overcome good sense voters whose ballot can't be bought or influenced.
The increasing awareness of more and more voices of public opinion that
the Southern Poverty Law Center which claims to identify hate groups is
a hoax pandering for profits. More and more are seeing the SPLC as the classic embodiment of a hate group.
The Boy Scouts for standing up to the likes of the ACLU and The
Southern Poverty Law Center. Their work isn't over, more public support is
needed in restoring scouting at the U. S. Military installations and
with the Department of Defense.
Be thankful for the recently formed alternate organization to the Girl
Scouts who have fallen prey to political correctness by removing religion from
their program. Thank God someone has the tenacity to nurture an
organization where girls can once again sing Christmas carols.
We're grateful that the Georgia Heritage Coalition has highly talented
and dedicated people like David Anderson, Calvin Johnson, Steve Scroggins, Lew
Regenstein, Mike Cane, Greg Hanson, Doctors Swan and Bellino, Jim Dean,
Randy Phillips, Woody Highsmith, Frank Gillespie, Bazz Childress, and
others who regularly feed us food for thought.
Don't forget the thousands of NASCAR fans who have gone in rebellion
against the pandering to professional race baiterslike Jesse Jackson. We hope the rumors of the formation of a stock
car circuit that observes and honors the history of racing become a reality.
Then there are thousands of people who have stopped patronizing labels
that have shown a distinct disparagement of Southern people. Include in this the
stockholders of these companies that have the guts to introduce resolutions at
stockholders meetings condemning these divisive practices.
Be thankful for those who challenge those
who revise, defile and eliminate true American history. Exposing them
with scholarly documented truth is beginning to have a favorable effect.
Don't forget those of Christian-Judeo principles who have been willing
to stand up to the secularism taking place the country and unfortunately, in many of the
churches.
We should also be observant of those who
are willing to correctly identify the real motives behind the various forms of cultural destruction and expose the
perpetrators for the un Americans they are.
Thanks be to those who are willing to stand up to both major political
parties and their leaders who espouse virtual open borders and unlimited
immigration, including refusal to enforce laws forbidding illegal immigration.
Bless those who constantly remind us of the budget busters who with
reckless abandon have placed the economic future of our children and grandchildren in jeopardy.
Please keep in mind our Southern family is a unique one. We must never
lose sight of the graciousness and the care we share with one another
regardless of race or ethnicity. We have the obligation to maintain and
foster this way of life for future generations.
I've got a lot more to say, but since I
am just one, I'll reserve some time for others who I know have some
other acknowledgments that need to be made.
Take heart dear folks, as bad as it seems sometimes, there is truly a
lot to be thankful for. We do thank our Creator for those blessings we recieve and those yet to come.
