Gold Star Mothers set up for media attacks – Commentary by Jim Dean
New York Gov. George Pataki: "Alien soldiers
are increasingly the real defenders of 'American freedom.'"
Dear legal Americans,
This is just in from Dr. Sanchez and his fabulous Internet search programs. Note the mind blower comment
(above) by Gov. Pataki.
The ladies are right. This was just a set up for the immigration spin. The American Gold Star Mothers is a virtually
ignored organization but they got dug up to be used here. Someone who applies for membership when they already know they don't qualify is doing a Rosa
Parks maneuver. The public does not know Parks was trained at the communist Highlanders School in Tenneessee. Records seized during raids of the period
proved this.
The public myth on that story was that Parks did her defiant acts spontaneously, when in fact it was just a set up, just like the
Freedom Riders sent into the South were a cold calculated plan to incite the Klan to violence so the violence could be exploited in the National
media.
I learned this years ago from my first and best conservative black E-mag editor source, Elizabeth Wright of 'Issues and Views', which I strongly
recommend to all of you. It is ignored as a quote source by major media and you will see why. This is what focused me on investigating major historical
myths and deceptions via insiders. She quoted me from a major civil rights personage, 'Thank God for the Klan, if they had not existed we would have
had to invent them.'
Elizabeth also gave me the whole run-down on how the Jewish Lobby had set up the NAACP to put black Americans
on the road to demanding dependency rather than focusing on gaining financial independence like other minority/immigrant groups. Basically they went to war to
defeat Booker T. Washington, and they did. There is an ignored intellectual segment of the black community who understand that to have been the worst
possible thing for their people at the time. The Jewish Lobby got their diversion due to heightened black/white racial tensions, so they dropped
off the radar screen.
People like Jesse Jackson and others wised up to this late in the game, but got slapped down hard when they
opened their mouths about this exploitation. In Jesse's case it was rather hypocritical as he is a master at that game. But of course he was looking
to play the diversion game, too.
Now we will have the American Gold Star Mothers being held up as an extremist reactionary group and an example of
'what is wrong with America.'
Who would like to bet that the other Veteran's organizations do NOT say a word in defense of the mothers, but
remain safely in their P.C. fort?

Webmaster's Note: The excerpt below is from the AP news story by Jim Fitzgerald. Various media outlets published varying
portions of the story, some leaving out various parts (depending on what they wanted to emphasize?). As you can see, the story itself is inflammatory, but leaving
out portions of it can make it even worse. Of course, the quotes from the American Gold Star Mothers leadership were not flattering to the organization...in keeping with the angle
of the story.
There may be some spin on both sides, but read the Press Release from the Mothers and read the AP 'news' story, and then you decide.
The Press Release mentions an "outpouring of support from Veterans Service Organizations over the years"...perhaps there has been a recent "outpouring" of support
relevant to this incident, it's just not visible in the media or on their websites. Of course, this attack story
was timed perfectly on Memorial Day weekend when various Vet orgs were all involved in memorial events.
As the
Mothers point out, the U.S. Dept. of Defense determines eligibility (for Gold Stars) and presents the Gold Stars to family members, not the Mothers organization. If their press release is accurate, the application
they received from the "rejected" non-citizen mother was not complete, lacked a required death certificate, was NOT signed by the applicant, and did NOT include payment of dues. Mail your application
for membership (incomplete, of course) to the NAACP (or the NRA, the SCV, etc.) without the dues check and without signing it and see if they don't
"reject" you. The Mothers tried to contact this applicant via certified mail but got no response. This "set up" and public media crucifixion of
the American Gold Star Mothers stinks to high Heaven...and the bloggers piled on.

Of course, they emphasize the rejection was BECAUSE she isn't a U.S. citizen.
Seattle Times Sunday 29th May 2005
Ligaya Lagman, a Filipino citizen and permanent US resident, tried to
join the Gold Star Mothers in New York, after her son Anthony Laghman
(an American citizen) died in the fighting in Afghanistan. The charter
of the organization was written 77 years ago when the American armed
forces was comprised almost entirely of citizens. The organization was
denounced when it rejected Lagman. The organization will put the issue
to a general vote, since, as Gov. George Pataki states: alien soldiers
are increasingly the real defenders of "American freedom".
Some members of the small and little known organization (1200 members)
are aware that Lagman's application was a deliberate ploy to force the
group to change its rules and to embrace illegal immigration. Pres. Ann
Herd noted that the full board of directors voted down a change of its
rules and added: "There's nothing we can do because that's what our
organization says: You have to be an American citizen. We can't go
changing the rules every time the wind blows."
