Sharpton (by invitation) plans to rally the Memphis Taliban on August 13th.
So we know what kind of people would invite him...who has the backbone to UNinvite Sharpton?
Al Sharpton's a Comin'! by Bill Vallante
Oh joy, oh joy! Reverend Al Sharpton is a’ comin’ to town!!!! I suppose that will go a long way toward solving the hyped
up controversy of the naming of your parks and the location of a General’s grave – NOT!
Like Diogenes of ancient times, who wandered the streets of ancient Greece with a lantern in search of an honest man, I
come to you with my lantern of truth to see if there is anyone with enough guts in the so-called “black community” who is willing to stand up and call
this pompous, fatuous, race-baiting gas bag exactly what he is! I’m waiting!
I’ve been waiting ever since he engineered the Tawana Brawley case over 15 years ago and ruined the life of an innocent
man without so much as an apology or a “by your leave”. I’m waiting.
I’m waiting - for someone who will stand up and demand from him a long overdue explanation of why he saw fit to inject
his “wit and wisdom” into the Crown Heights riot in 1991, a riot which resulted in the death of a rabbinical student who was on his way home and minding
his own business. I’m waiting – do I hear anyone? Anyone at all?
I’m waiting - for someone in the black community to inquire as to where this pompous ass procured his degree in theology,
or indeed, if he even has one? I’m given to understand that such degrees require years of training on the undergraduate and post graduate level. So how
is it, according to the good “Reverend,” he became a preacher at tender age of 10?! [ About Sharpton ] Somebody explain this to me
because I just don’t get it. Do I hear anyone with a logical explanation? Anyone at all??
I’m waiting - for some intelligent person of color to get on his or her stump and demand to know how is it that in a
country which has such men of distinction as JC Watts, Walter Williams, Alan Keyes, Clarence Thomas and others, that this walking pile of refuse
somehow found the support and the money to field himself as a candidate for president, and to do so without anyone in the black community saying so
much as “huh???” I’m waiting……
I’m waiting – for someone in the black community to see a parallel between Reverend Al “going to Memphis” and Reverend
King going to the same place. Am I the only one who smells a public relations stunt in all this? And if I am right, (and you damned well know that
I am), how does such a stunt, engineered by an out of town political demagogue, help anyone in Memphis? Anyone care to answer that? Anyone?
I’m waiting!
I’m waiting – waiting for someone to demand to know exactly where the CONGREGATION of this self-proclaimed REVEREND is
located? He’s been on the news scene for nearly 20 years now and no one, black or white, has seen fit to ask that question. Isn’t a “reverend” supposed
to have a congregation? So where are they?
Perhaps it’s time to put a bunch of faces on the side of a milk carton with the word………….MISSING……………above it, and the
words, “Have you seen this Congregation”, below it?
I’m waiting……anyone??....anyone?????
